About Us

MCExotic pets was born out of a desire to see more captive bred animals available in the hobby. Over the last 20 years we have cared for, rehabilitated and found loving homes for many species of reptiles as well as kept our own personal collection of favorites! With experience working with everything from large pythons and Tegus to Chameleons, we knew it was time to settle down and focus on some of our all-time favourites – Tokays and Hognose.

We are especially proud of our Tokay Gecko breeding program. With very few breeders of this great gecko in Canada, it is our hope to produce a few more captive bred individuals for the pet trade and to introduce more people to these unique and amazing animals.

Along with experience, Charlene brings a wealth of personal knowledge and a degree in Animal Biology that has helped us to grow and advance our husbandry and animal care methods overtime.
